What Briefly does

Briefly connects to Google Calendar at your request, reads selected calendar-event information, generates meeting-preparation briefs and can email those briefs to you before meetings.

Information we process

• Your sign-in email address and optional display name.
• Google Calendar event details such as titles, descriptions, times, locations, organizers, attendees and meeting links.
• Encrypted Google authorization tokens needed to maintain your connection.
• Generated meeting briefs, delivery preferences and delivery status.
• Basic operational logs needed for security and reliability.

How we use information

We use this information only to provide, secure and improve Briefly: connecting your calendar, generating requested briefs, scheduling delivery, preventing duplicates and diagnosing failures. We do not sell personal information or use calendar data for advertising.

AI processing

Relevant event fields are sent to an AI service to generate a meeting brief. Briefly treats calendar content as untrusted data and filters instruction-like content. Do not place sensitive information in calendar events unless it is necessary for your meeting preparation.

Sharing and service providers

Briefly uses service providers for hosting, authentication, AI generation, Google Calendar access and transactional email delivery. We share only the information required for those services to perform their functions. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.

Storage and security

Each account’s records are separated by authenticated email address. Google tokens are encrypted before storage. Access controls, server-side authorization and duplicate-delivery protection are used to reduce unauthorized access and unintended email delivery. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and deletion

We keep account settings, calendar connections, generated briefs and delivery records while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request disconnection or deletion by contacting us. We may retain limited records when required for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your choices

You can choose whether to connect Google Calendar and whether to enable automatic email delivery. You may revoke Google access through your Google Account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal information.
